"account": "The United States military claimed it conducted a strike on a suspected drug-smuggling boat in the Pacific Ocean, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. According to a Monday post on X, the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) reported that the targeted vessel was operating along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific. SOUTHCOM explained that intelligence confirmed the ship's active participation in drug trafficking. The operation, described by SOUTHCOM as a decisive response to the cartels, was carried out under the command of General Francis L Donovan by the Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere. The US military initiated Operation Southern Spear in September, with President Donald Trump asserting that the United States is effectively at war with Latin American drug cartels.",
