"account": "In 2025, the number of foreign qualifications recognized by German authorities grew by nearly 10 percent, reaching around 86,600 approvals - a significant increase compared to the previous year. However, this surge in recognition applications has slowed down in recent years; in 2023, the number of approved qualifications jumped by 21 percent, and in 2024 by 25 percent. Medical qualifications continued to dominate, being the most recognized overall, followed by elderly care and engineering professions. Together, these three professions accounted for 58 percent of all recognized foreign qualifications in 2025. Notably, Turkish qualifications were the most common in 2025, constituting 11 percent of all submitted applications. Ukraine, Syria, India, and Tunisia also had a substantial representation, with each contributing significant numbers of recognized qualifications. The number of recognized qualifications from Syria saw a notable 42 percent increase from 2024 to 2025. Conversely, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a significant decrease in recognized qualifications.",
