"account": "According to Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, a total of 99,693 scam-related posts were removed from social media platforms as of July 15, surpassing the 98,503 taken down throughout 2025. She revealed that 106,268 requests were submitted to platforms like Meta, TikTok, and YouTube to remove such content during the same period, compared to 102,113 requests in the previous year. Teo emphasized that while the requests are submitted by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the platforms have the ultimate authority in deciding whether to remove the content. She also highlighted that the compliance rate of the platforms in removing scam-related posts is usually above 90 per cent.\n\nTeo stressed the importance of flying the Jalur Gemilang (Flag of Malaysia) correctly, as part of the National Month celebration. The Information Department (JaPEN) is conducting the '1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang' campaign from August to September to encourage Malaysians to fly the national flag properly. She addressed the complaints received about varying actions taken by local authorities or the police depending on the location, stating that a uniform approach is needed to avoid discouraging the public from flying the national flag.",
