"account": "Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes has been banned for 10 matches for his involvement in on-field clashes following Argentina's defeat to Spain in the 2026 World Cup final. His teammate Nahuel Molina received a seven-match suspension. Additionally, the Argentinian Football Association (AFA) was fined $321,000 (£235,000) for using a sports event to demonstrate a non-sporting nature, as well as team misconduct and discriminatory chants and gestures by supporters. Of this fine, $100,000 (£73,000) must be used to combat discrimination, while the remaining $100,000 (£73,000) is suspended pending a probationary period. Both Paredes and Molina will also pay fines of $90,000 (£66,000) each. The ban applies only to international fixtures, and the AFA has vowed to appeal the sanctions, potentially taking the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).",
