"account": "Actor Ewan McGregor expressed his desire to continue telling stories about Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi-in-exile from the Disney+ series \"Obi-Wan Kenobi,\" after the show's recent finale. In the series finale, Obi-Wan defeated Darth Vader, met young Luke Skywalker, and reunited with his mentor Qui-Gon Jinn as a Force ghost. McGregor, who has played the role since 1999's \"Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace,\" has been vocal about his intention to continue the Kenobi stories until he reaches the age of Sir Alec Guinness, who played the character in the original 1977 film. At the Edinburgh International Film Festival, McGregor discussed his ongoing efforts to secure new Kenobi projects, including pitching ideas to Lucasfilm president and CCO Dave Filoni during the production of \"Ahsoka\" season two, where McGregor's real-life wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, co-stars. McGregor even suggested a potential love story between Obi-Wan and Hera Syndulla, Mary's character in \"Ahsoka,\" which spans approximately 18 years from the end of \"Star Wars: Episode III\" to the series' premiere.",
