"account": "Harry Kappa, a 21-year-old player from the Open League, has been crowned the national champion of Kenya in the Red Bull Wings Cup, securing his place to represent his country in the upcoming global finals in Miami, United States, in January 2027. Kappa achieved this victory by defeating Prorate 2-0 in the national final held at Century Cinemax, Sarit, Nairobi. The national final served as the culmination of a nationwide competition involving players from both the University League and Open League. These leagues provided platforms for university students and esports enthusiasts from various parts of Kenya to compete against each other. Players advanced through knockout matches, with aggregate scores determining the finalists. The chosen representative will join 80 other finalists from around the world in a three-day tournament featuring EA SPORTS FC 27 matches and real-life football challenges at Inter Miami’s Nu Stadium. Kappa expressed his ambition to not only participate but also progress to the final stages and give Kenya something to celebrate. As esports continues to grow into a commercial industry, competitions like the Red Bull Wings Cup provide young people with an opportunity to test their abilities and compete at different levels, according to Patrick Odongo, a Red Bull athlete.",
