"account": "Michigan Sen.-elect Abdul El-Sayed described President Donald Trump as an \"unserious fool\" in an interview on ABC's \"This Week.\" He stated Democrats would collaborate with the president if he acts seriously but would not partner with him if he persists in foolishness. Examples cited by El-Sayed included the alleged war in Iran, a Canada tariff war, and Medicaid cuts to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. He emphasized that if the president chooses to continue fooling himself by surrounding himself with individuals like Stephen Miller, they would not be willing partners in Congress. El-Sayed, set to become the nation's first Muslim senator, campaigned on three key issues: limiting the influence of money in politics, redistributing wealth, and implementing Medicare for all. Although he criticized Israel and Trump's policies, El-Sayed expressed willingness to work with the president on issues he supports, such as expanding health care access. He also reflected on his journey to becoming the first Muslim senator, crediting former President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama for inspiring his political ambitions.",
