"account": "Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is facing a potential bipartisan impeachment drive in the House of Representatives following the Republican Party's major losses in the US midterm elections. The impeachment motion is expected to be introduced by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky) within days. GOP lawmakers argue that Hegseth's handling of the Iran war, which took place before the midterms, demonstrated poor judgment and weakened the administration's ability to communicate the necessity of the strikes to the American public. Some Republican members feel they have nothing to lose and are looking to blame Hegseth for the war's outcome. While Trump has consistently supported Hegseth, some insiders believe he could be \"on the chopping block\" due to the war. Massie has repeatedly attempted to impeach Hegseth, most recently in September, but House leadership delayed the floor vote before the midterms. If the impeachment motion passes in the House, its chances of passing in the Senate remain unclear. However, a Democratic majority in Congress may impose stricter measures if they take control.",
