"account": "North West residents are divided over the results of the recent local government elections. The African National Congress (ANC) remains the largest party in the province, but its support has fallen below 50% for the first time. The Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are the second and third largest parties, respectively.\n\nThe ANC has lost its dominance in several municipalities, resulting in 11 hung councils in the province. In Mahikeng, some residents express optimism about the possibility of coalition governments working together. \"I think we'll now see changes. They will now hold each other accountable. I'm happy that parties will work together to ensure service delivery,\" says one resident.\n\nHowever, not everyone shares this optimism. Another resident warns, \"I don't think the coalition government will be stable. There will be sabotage.\" They believe that with multiple parties in council, each party will prioritize their own interests over the collective good. This sentiment is echoed by a third resident, who states, \"There's going to be instability due to many parties in council. every party will want to put themselves first.\"\n\nThe mixed reactions highlight the complex political landscape in the North West province following the recent elections. While some residents are hopeful for positive change through coalition governments, others are concerned about the potential for instability and conflict between parties.",
