"summary": "The Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) has made an arrest in connection with the murder of former Knysna executive mayor Aubrey Tsengwa. A 44-year-old suspect was apprehended during a raid in Peddie, Eastern Cape, on November 6, following an investigation led by the PKTT and the South African Police Service (SAPS). Tsengwa, who was killed on August 19, 2026, along with three others in Knysna, remains in police custody and is set to appear before the Knysna Magistrate's Court on November 9. He faces charges of murder and attempted murder. The arrest comes amid heightened concerns over politically motivated killings and intimidation in the Western Cape, particularly as the 2026 Local Government Elections approach.",
