"summary": "Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is set to miss time following a partial tendon tear in his right foot. The injury occurred during a 2-1 Bundesliga victory over Mainz on Saturday, forcing the veteran goalkeeper off the pitch shortly before half-time. While the German champions have not provided a specific timeframe for his return, the German newspaper Bild reported that the captain is expected to be sidelined for approximately two months.\n\nThe setback follows a recent period of fluctuating availability, as Neuer had previously missed four matches with a foot problem before returning for a Champions League win against Atletico Madrid earlier this week. During the match against Mainz, Neuer also made an error in the first half that nearly allowed the opposition to equalize.\n\nOn Saturday, Neuer became the oldest player in Bayern Munich history at 40 years and 225 days, surpassing the record held by Bernd Dreher. Bayern currently leads the Bundesliga standings with 21 points from nine matches and is scheduled to host Cologne on November 20.",
