"account": "A portion of the false ceiling outside Terminal 2 at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport fell, injuring one visitor on Sunday, reports indicate. This incident follows a similar collapse at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport in June 2024, which killed one person and injured nine others. The Mumbai airport spokesperson stated that \"a small section of the false ceiling outside Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport fell on Sunday, resulting in a minor injury to one visitor. The airport's emergency medical team responded immediately and provided necessary assistance.\" The matter is currently under investigation to determine the cause of the incident. This event coincides with increased scrutiny of airport infrastructure following the Delhi airport tragedy. The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) had initially blamed the collapse on heavy rainfall, but a high-level expert committee later identified a faulty welded joint as the main cause, attributing it to poor workmanship and insufficient consideration of rainwater accumulation in the design. The T2 terminal at Mumbai has been in operation since 2013, and plans are underway to revamp the older Terminal 1-B, originally built in 1965.",
