"account": "Manchester United are reportedly considering AC Milan center-back Koni De Winter as a potential replacement for the struggling Lisandro Martinez. The Premier League strugglers are facing a defensive crisis and are actively exploring the January transfer market for reinforcements. De Winter, a 24-year-old Belgian international, has impressed for Milan since joining from Genoa in 2025, making 14 senior appearances this season. Standing at 6ft 3in, his physical attributes and tactical versatility make him an attractive prospect for English clubs. However, De Winter is not keen on an Italian exit and Milan still view him as an integral part of their long-term plans. Manchester United, aware of the competition, will face a tough battle to secure De Winter's signature, with Liverpool and Chelsea also monitoring his situation. Other Premier League clubs like Newcastle United, Tottenham, Leeds United, and Brentford have sent scouts to watch De Winter's performances. United must focus on their crucial upcoming match against Aston Villa before turning their attention to the January transfer window.",
