"account": "The Niger State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has requested that Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago immediately remove his Special Adviser on Labour Matters. This demand emerged from an executive meeting held at the Labour House over the weekend, where a group of veteran labour leaders and members from affiliated unions gathered. The communiqué distributed following the meeting did not specify the reasoning behind the suggestion, but it did urge the governor to swiftly commence the implementation of the newly approved N70,000 transport allowance for workers, which President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had recently endorsed. The communiqué, signed by Comrade Idris Abdul-Kareem Lafene as the chairman and Comrade Maria Musa as the secretary, also expressed appreciation for the governor's recent interest in the welfare of state workers. However, the meeting urged him to expedite the adoption and execution of the resolutions already agreed upon with the NLC.",
