"account": "Labuan's Youth Dansa dance troupe claimed victory in the gold category at the world dance festival in Shah Alam. This achievement came after competing against 144 teams from 10 nations and territories. The troupe wowed the audience with a unique interpretation of a traditional Brunei dance, skillfully merging authentic movements with modern choreography and contemporary ethnic elements while maintaining its cultural identity.\n\nEstablished by the Labuan youth council, the 13-member team was made up of nine dancers, a team manager, a choreographer, and three support crew members. Their debut on the international stage was a testament to the potential and creativity of young Labuan talents. Speaking on the victory, Youth council president Nazera Roslan highlighted how the success showcased the appeal of local arts and cultural heritage on a global scale.\n\nChoreographer Dafi Chua attributed the triumph to the team's dedication, discipline, and cooperation in blending traditional Brunei dance movements with modern elements without diluting the dance's original identity. Malaysia sent 40 contestants to the festival, the second-highest number behind India's 47 entries. Other participating countries included Mongolia, Indonesia, Qatar, South Korea, Russia, Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, and Singapore.",
