"summary": "The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received six Nigerian returnees from the United States at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, according to a statement posted on the agency's X handle. The returnees, comprising five males and one female, all adults, arrived on November 4, 2026, aboard a Beechcraft 1900 aircraft with registration number N62FF. The reception exercise was conducted in collaboration with the United States Consulate, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Nigeria Immigration Service, and ExecuJet. NEMA stated that the returnees underwent immigration documentation and profiling upon arrival to ensure proper identification and record-keeping. The agency did not disclose the circumstances surrounding their return or their legal status in Nigeria. This event reflects Nigeria's efforts to ensure the safe, orderly, and dignified return of its citizens, as the Federal Government has been working closely with relevant agencies and partners to facilitate such returns.",
