Born in Yokohama, Kishi was a prominent figure in postwar Japanese cinema and also enjoyed a successful career as a writer. She made her acting debut in 1951 with \"Wagaya wa Tanoshi\" (\"Home Sweet Home\") and achieved national fame through the hit film \"Kimi no Na wa,\" where she portrayed the heroine. Beyond her film work, Kishi also found acclaim in television. Her investigative report \"Apple of Belarus,\" which explored conflict zones globally, earned her the Nihon Essayist Club Prize. Kishi married French director Yves Ciampi in 1957, with whom she had a daughter. They divorced in 1975. In 2004, she was awarded the prestigious Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, a high national honor in Japan. The same year, the French government recognized her with the Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters.",
