"account": "In a thrilling display of perseverance, Samsung Lions captain Koo Ja-wook was named the MVP of the Korean Series after leading his team to their first championship in a decade. Koo, who played through a hamstring injury throughout the five-game series, earned an overwhelming 72 out of 97 votes from the media. Despite missing the final dozen games of the regular season due to his injury, Koo returned in time for the Korean Series and played every game as designated hitter. In the five-game tournament, Koo delivered an impressive performance, batting .500/.565/.850 with a home run, two doubles, one triple, six RBIs, and five runs scored. While his regular-season batting average of .371 earned him the regular-season MVP title, he struggled with only a .125 average (3-for-20) during the Korean Series. However, Koo's health improved significantly, allowing him to find his rhythm during the championship run. The Lions ultimately triumphed over the KT Wiz with a 12-1 victory in Game 5 at Daegu Samsung Lions Park.",
