"account": "Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have neutralized a suspected notorious criminal, Abubakar Ango, following an alleged attempt to seize a soldier's rifle while guiding security operatives to his gang's hideout in Plateau State. Counter-insurgency and security expert Zagazola Makama shared this information on X on Sunday, citing security sources. According to the sources, Ango was apprehended by troops of Sector 2 OPEP on November 4 in Kukawa village, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State. During interrogation on November 6 at around 7:20 a.m., the suspect reportedly confessed to involvement in various criminal activities and agreed to guide troops to his gang's hideout in a forested village. The operation aimed to recover weapons and arrest other gang members. However, as they were being led to the location, Ango allegedly attempted to snatch a soldier's rifle, leading the troops to open fire and neutralize the threat. Ongoing offensive operations are taking place to apprehend or neutralize other fleeing members of the gang.",
