"account": "Spain's government has convened an urgent meeting on Tuesday, 10 November, following the arrival of 4,587 individuals on the Canary Islands within the first six days of November. The discussions will center on El Hierro, where over 70% of the boats docked, placing immense pressure on the island's healthcare facilities, transportation, and reception services. The meeting is set to convene the Interministerial Immigration Commission in Madrid, presided over by Territorial Policy Minister Ángel Víctor Torres. The regional government recorded 49 boats crossing the archipelago from November 1 to 6, with 35 docking on El Hierro. In contrast, the same period in 2025 saw only two arrivals, while 2024 recorded just 11. By November 5, the cumulative tally across the Canaries had surpassed 3,200 individuals on 39 boats.",
