"account": "In Mombasa, Kenya, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced the arrest of a suspected online accommodation fraudster named Nelson Okota Odhiambo. According to the DCI, Odhiambo defrauded a woman of Sh130,000 by falsely promising to secure her an Airbnb apartment in Nyali. The arrest took place in Bamburi after the DCI investigated the alleged scam. The victim had been looking for accommodation for a coastal holiday, but the promised apartment never materialized. Authorities suspect that Odhiambo may have extended the fraudulent scheme to target travelers visiting Kilifi and Kwale counties as well. The DCI is urging holidaymakers to exercise caution when booking accommodation online, warning them to verify properties, confirm the legitimacy of hosts, and avoid making payments if suspicious activity is detected. The agency remains committed to pursuing individuals involved in such online fraud targeting unsuspecting members of the public.",
