"summary": "Punjab Police, with the assistance of central agencies, has deported wanted gangster Gurwinder Afridi from Ethiopia after a 10-month international manhunt, according to a report from the Free Press Journal. The Punjab government offered a ₹5 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest. The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in collaboration with the Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell (OFTEC) of Counter Intelligence Punjab and central agencies, successfully tracked and deported Afridi, a key figure in the Doni Bal-Prabh Dassuwal gang, from Ethiopia. Preliminary investigations indicate that Afridi was involved in directing targeted killings, extortion-related incidents, and organized criminal activities in Punjab from abroad. The operation involved extensive intelligence gathering and surveillance across multiple countries in Asia, South America, and Africa, highlighting the international nature of the manhunt. Punjab Police remains committed to dismantling gangster networks and ensuring peace and security across the state.",
