"account": "The federal government has cancelled all admissions for the 2026 academic session to the National Teachers' Institute (NTI) in Kaduna for its National Certificate in Education and degree programmes. This decision was taken due to regulatory breaches related to admissions, accreditation, and university affiliations. The Federal Ministry of Education emphasized that NTI was not authorized to award NCE or university degrees. Prospective students, parents, and the public are advised against seeking admission into the affected programmes. The ministry further directed NTI to discontinue all university affiliations and degree-awarding arrangements. The government has assured that existing students, particularly those in the NCE II-IV Distance Learning Studies, will not be affected. The National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) will conduct comprehensive accreditation of these existing programmes to determine eligibility for completion.",
