"summary": "Punjab Police has successfully brought wanted gangster Gurwinder, also known as Afridi, back to India from Ethiopia on Sunday. The fugitive landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and is now being escorted to Punjab by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF). The operation marks the first time a fugitive has been secured from an African country by the Punjab Police. The team leading the operation is headed by AGTF Superintendent of Police Bikram Brar. This move is part of the state police's ongoing efforts to track down gangsters who have fled overseas, with the establishment of the Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell (OFTEC) to coordinate with central agencies and foreign law enforcement authorities. Afridi, who is from Tarn Taran district, is a key suspect in the August 31, 2022, attack on a church in Tarn Taran village where four masked men allegedly held the security guard hostage, vandalized religious statues, and set the pastor's car on fire.",
