"account": "On a cold December night, Utah football's new coach, Morgan Scalley, visited Devon Dampier's apartment to deliver an apology, \"I'm sorry.\" Dampier had transferred from New Mexico to Utah to join Kyle Whittingham and the Whittingham-Utah marriage ended abruptly, leading to Dampier's troubled first season at Utah. The foundation of the 2026 season was then established when Scalley told Dampier to be a better leader. Dampier went on to have a historic season, throwing for two touchdowns, running for two more, and becoming the second player in FBS history to achieve such a feat. His performance led Utah to a 21-20 victory over rival BYU, keeping their unbeaten record and ranking them 3rd in the nation, potentially higher before the season ends. Utah's win was a rare moment in college football that kept getting better, and Scalley was told by Dampier, \"I didn't build anything. Leadership is based on the trust you've earned.\"",
