"account": "On November 8, 2026, President Donald Trump extended an offer to Dana White, CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), to serve as the White House Press Secretary, according to a post on the president's Truth Social platform. Trump commended White, calling him a \"great fighter and warrior,\" and urged him to accept the position. The post was updated 43 minutes after its initial publication at 8:01 AM on November 8, 2026. The press secretary position had been vacant since October 16 following Katie Zacharia's departure from the role shortly after her appointment. White holds the positions of President and CEO at the UFC, the world's largest and most successful mixed martial arts organization. Trump also suggested that White should bring six UFC fighters to the White House as advisors, including individuals from Russia and Brazil, among others. The relationship between Trump and White has been long-standing, with Trump frequently associating his MAGA political brand with the UFC, which enjoys a significant global following.",
