"summary": "Ghana has secured the bid to host the Federation of African Journalists (FAJ) Conference in the first quarter of 2027, according to Albert Dwumfour, President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA). Dwumfour announced this at the 30th GJA Media Awards in Accra, emphasizing that this achievement marks a series of continental successes for the GJA in recent years. He highlighted the GJA's victories in hosting the African Media Convention and the FAJ Steering Committee Meeting, stating that these accomplishments not only elevate Ghana's profile in Africa's media landscape but also bolster the country's influence. Dwumfour described the achievements as a \"double victory\" for Ghana, extending beyond the GJA to enhance the nation's standing in continental media affairs. He further noted that hosting the FAJ Conference will allow Ghana to contribute to discussions on the future of journalism across Africa, fostering opportunities to shape these conversations. The FAJ Conference is anticipated to gather journalists from across the continent to address critical issues such as press freedom, professional journalism, and media practitioners' safety. The event is set to be organized under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, with preparations expected to commence ahead of the scheduled conference date.",
