"summary": "Ghana has been chosen to host the Federation of African Journalists (FAJ) Conference in early 2027, following a successful bid by the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA). GJA President Albert Dwumfour announced this at the 30th GJA Media Awards in Accra, highlighting the country's achievements in securing hosting rights for the African Media Convention and the FAJ Steering Committee Meeting over the past four years. Dwumfour emphasized that these accomplishments reflect Ghana's commitment to press freedom, democratic governance, and media development across the continent, and that hosting the FAJ Conference will provide an opportunity for Ghana to shape conversations on the future of journalism in Africa.",
