"summary": "President Donald Trump announced on Saturday via Truth Social that he has offered the position of White House press secretary to UFC President and CEO Dana White. Describing White as a \"violent Fighter and Warrior,\" Trump also requested that White bring several current or former UFC titleholders to serve as assistants to help \"defend us against the Lunatic Left.\"\n\nThe specific fighters requested include Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris. According to Dawn, White's proposed assistants include athletes from Russia’s Dagestan region and a Brazilian native who became an American citizen last year.\n\nThe vacancy follows the departure of Katie Zacharia, who was let go in October after serving in the role for less than a week. Mother Jones reports that Zacharia was fired on October 19th, following a period of public scrutiny during which Trump suggested she might be happier in a different role. It was not immediately clear if Trump's offer to White was a joke or trolling, according to Deadline.",
