"account": "Real Madrid midfielder Bernardo Silva has been named Portugal's new national team captain, succeeding Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently retired from international football. Coach Jorge Jesus announced the decision on Friday while revealing Portugal's 28-man squad for upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Denmark and Wales. The captaincy will be determined by international appearances, with Silva leading a group of experienced players. Silva, who has earned 115 caps, will share leadership responsibilities with four other players with significant caps. Ronaldo, who played 234 times and scored 146 goals for Portugal, had captained the team to two UEFA Nations League titles and the 2016 European Championship. Silva praised Ronaldo's legacy and expressed pride in playing alongside him. The new captaincy marks the start of a new chapter for Portugal as they prepare for their upcoming matches.",
