"account": "On Saturday, a gunman opened fire in central Krakow, Poland, killing five people and wounding around a dozen others, according to the country's police. A car drove onto Krakow's Main Square, where the shooter began firing at random individuals. Police officers subsequently shot the suspect, who is now in custody. Krakow police spokesperson told AFP that the attacker acted alone and was a Polish man. Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the incident a \"tragic shooting\" and an AFP reporter on the scene described the chaotic scene, noting ambulances and multiple police cars at the historic square. Poland, which has experienced rare deadly shootings, was on high alert following a series of stabbings in October. The country's conservative-nationalist president, Karol Nawrocki, stated that the safety of Poles is an absolute priority.",
