"summary": "The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken notice of alleged code of conduct violations by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar during campaigning for the NA-77 Gujranwala by-poll. The minister visited the constituency by helicopter and addressed a campaign event for Rashid Basheer Virk, which is against provisions in the Code of Conduct that bar public office holders from participating in campaign activities. The ECP has sought a report from the district monitoring officer and the district returning officer to investigate the matter and directed the minister to appear before the commission in person. The result of the constituency could be withheld until a final decision is made on the matter.",
