"summary": "Several residential areas in Seberang Prai Tengah, Malaysia, were inundated by torrential downpour late this afternoon, according to a report by the New Straits Times. The affected areas include Seberang Jaya, Permatang Rawa, Tanah Liat, Mengkuang Titi, and Jalan Baharu. The Civil Defence Force (APM) deployed response teams shortly after the heavy rain began around 4:30pm, and by 6:15pm, reports of drainage overflow and fallen trees in Seberang Jaya emerged, with water entering several homes. As of 8pm, authorities detected rising water levels in Mengkuang Titi, and the Social Welfare Department is on standby, though no temporary relief centres have been opened as of yet. Agencies involved in ongoing monitoring operations include the district office, police, Fire and Rescue Department, Drainage and Irrigation Department, and local community leaders.",
