"summary": "Abimbola Adekanmbi, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 general elections in Oyo State, has challenged All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart Senator Sharafadeen Alli to publicly present a list of his achievements at the National Assembly. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Adekanmbi argued that public office holders seeking higher responsibilities must first demonstrate excellence in their current roles and that leadership progression should be driven by performance rather than political longevity.\n\nAdekanmbi claimed that Alli performed below expectations at the National Assembly and stated that the people of Oyo State would not reward his alleged incompetence with an elevation to the Agodi Government House. Punch Nigeria also reported that the APM candidate said the people of the state would not reward Alli's alleged incompetence.\n\nIn a statement released via the Oyo State APM Campaign Council, Adekanmbi noted that the governorship should be earned through proven competence rather than political history. He maintained that leaders should defend their ambitions with verifiable achievements rather than relying on past titles to substitute for present performance, according to Daily Post Nigeria.",
