"account": "Malaysia's Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) has bolstered academic ties with Turkey through the signing of Letters of Collaboration (LoCs) with Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) and Turkish universities Sabancı University and Yildiz Technical University (YTU). The LoCs were exchanged in Istanbul, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Mara chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, and Shahrizal Mohd Saderi, Mara's newly-appointed Deputy Director-General (Education). The collaborations aim to facilitate joint degree programs, doctoral research, and ship-design studies. Asyraf highlighted the focus on research exchange and student mobility, proposing double degrees where Malaysian and Turkish students could earn two degrees simultaneously. The proposed collaboration with Sabancı University will explore joint bachelor's and master's degree programs, including curriculum mapping and academic delivery arrangements, while the partnership with YTU will concentrate on joint ship-design research and model testing, utilizing complementary facilities.",
