"account": "While I haven't started watching holiday movies yet, I discovered an overlooked 1980s crime thriller on Tubi called \"The Mean Season.\" Starring Kurt Russell, Mariel Hemingway, and Richard Jordan, the film takes place in beautiful Miami during its \"mean season\" of storms and hurricanes. The story follows Malcolm Anderson (Russell), a weary journalist who returns to writing after getting one final assignment from his editor: investigate a teenage girl's murder. As Malcolm digs deeper, he crosses paths with the killer (Richard Jordan), who becomes obsessed with Malcolm's reporting. The killer's obsession threatens both Malcolm and his girlfriend. Despite minor flaws, the film's strong performances, atmospheric Miami setting, and Kurt Russell's charming lead make it a captivating escape from the impending cold weather.",
"summary": "While the 1960 original was never meant to be a franchise, \"Psycho II\" brings Norman Bates home for a surprisingly clever '80s thriller.",
