"summary": "Savannah College of Education has apologized to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for an illegal sit-down strike declared by staff on October 27, 2026, and suspended on November 1, 2026. The college acknowledged weaknesses in its internal processes that contributed to the escalation of the industrial action. In a letter dated November 5, 2026, the college's management expressed regret over the disruption caused to GTEC, the Ministry of Education, students, parents, and other stakeholders. The apology, signed by Acting Registrar Muftau-Kola Fasasi, commended GTEC for its intervention during the strike and pledged to improve institutional discipline and ensure that staff welfare matters are handled through appropriate channels. The college also assured GTEC of its commitment to working with the Commission and other authorities to ensure a transparent and timely resolution of related matters.",
