"account": "A woman unexpectedly gave birth to a baby boy while riding a commercial bus, known as Danfo in Lagos, during a routine journey. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, reported that the woman was traveling when she suddenly went into labour. Fellow passengers and onlookers immediately came to her aid, assisting with the delivery and offering prayers for the child's safe arrival. The newborn, a boy, was delivered successfully, and medical responders and commuters provided support to ensure the mother and child's safety. Social media footage captured the moments leading up to and following the delivery, with some witnesses proposing the baby's name as Abiona, a traditional Yoruba name often given to infants born during a journey. This incident echoes a similar event that occurred at the Onipanu Bus Stop along Ikorodu Road, where another pregnant woman delivered a baby boy before being transported to a medical facility. Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA's Permanent Secretary, confirmed that emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene after receiving information about the woman in labour. \"In a swift response, LASEMA arrived at the scene to assist a pregnant woman who went into sudden labour while waiting for transport,\" he stated. \"The woman delivered a healthy baby boy. Both mother and child were stabilised by LASEMA paramedics before being transported to a nearby healthcare facility for post-natal care.\"",
