"summary": "BJP MLA Sankalp Amonkar from Mormugao has been sworn in as a minister in the Goa Cabinet, months ahead of the state's Assembly elections. Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju administered the oath of office and secrecy to the BJP legislator at Raj Bhavan, in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Amonkar's induction into the Cabinet is seen as a fulfillment of a promise made when he switched to the BJP in 2022, after defecting from the Congress party along with seven other MLAs.",
