"summary": "The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has relaunched its Free Fertiliser and Agro-Input Distribution Programme, equipped with a digital tracking system to curb smuggling and diversion. COCOBOD's Chief Executive, Dr Randy Abbey, warned smugglers and saboteurs that any illegal activities related to the inputs will be dealt with according to the law. The new scheme, which replaces a previous subsidised fertiliser programme, aims to ensure that only farmers with mapped farms registered on COCOBOD's digital Cocoa Management System (CMS) receive the inputs. Beneficiaries must verify their identity using a Ghana Card, farmer identification card, or biometrics, and the software automatically calculates each farmer's allocation based on the size and condition of their farm.",
