"account": "Kolkata - Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee, currently serving as the MP for Diamond Harbour, accused BJP supporters of launching a seventh attack on his residence within a span of six months. The incident, which occurred at 2 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2026, was captured on video and shared by Banerjee on his social media platform. He alleged that the BJP hooligans carried out the assault after conducting two days of reconnaissance.\n\nBanerjee criticized the government and the Election Commission of India (ECI) for not taking any action against the perpetrators and the judiciary for not intervening. He urged the central government and the ECI to initiate a suo motu investigation and file a case against him, stating that he would represent himself in court. Banerjee also expressed concern about the \"plight of the common man in West Bengal\" in light of the incident.\n\nThe altercation escalated when a group of BJP supporters, who had gathered in front of Banerjee's residence, began shouting derogatory slogans such as \"thief, thief.\" The Trinamool supporters attempted to intervene, leading to clashes and the destruction of photographs, cutouts, and banners bearing tributes to Banerjee. Police personnel present were seen attempting to control the situation, but the situation remained volatile.\n\nBanerjee took to social media to express his disappointment in the judiciary, stating that \"hooligans are running riot across the State because the judiciary continues to turn a blind eye.\" He thanked the Supreme Court judges for remaining silent spectators, emphasizing the need for action to protect elected representatives in the state.",
