"account": "Iowa City – Transfer Drew McKeever from Saint Mary's has not yet played a game for Iowa basketball due to a back injury that sidelined him for the first two contests of the 2026-27 season. Although McKeever participated in pregame warmups before being ruled out, he did not take the court in either the match against Lipscomb or Eastern Illinois. Coach McCollum expressed optimism about McKeever's progress, acknowledging the back's fickle nature. In practice, McKeever has been a dominant force, contributing impressively with eight points, eight assists, and seven rebounds against Eastern Illinois. Despite the absence of McKeever, Iowa's frontcourt, particularly Trevin Jirak, has been productive. The Hawkeyes are now gearing up for a challenging stretch, facing three power-conference opponents consecutively: Virginia Tech, Creighton, and Xavier, starting with Virginia Tech on November 10 in Sioux City.",
