"account": "Robert Pattinson reportedly participated in screen tests to possibly portray 007 in James Bond 26. According to The Hollywood Reporter, these tests occurred during the weekend of October 24. It was initially reported that four, possibly five actors were in contention for the role, but only three names emerged: Callum Turner, Jack Lowden, and Josh O’Connor. Nicholas Hoult, who played Lex Luthor in a recent film, has also been considered for the Bond role, marking a recurring pattern of competition between Hoult and Pattinson for high-profile franchises. This is similar to how Pattinson won the Batman role over Hoult in a 2022 film. The casting of multiple actors in major franchises is not uncommon; Harrison Ford played both Han Solo and Indiana Jones, while Robert Downey Jr. transitioned from Iron Man to Sherlock Holmes. Pattinson recently collaborated with James Bond 26 director Denis Villeneuve on Dune: Part 3. The screen tests took place in London, where Pattinson is currently filming The Batman: Part II. At 40 years old, Pattinson is older than the other named contenders for Bond, who are all 36. Despite this age difference, Pattinson's transformation from a young actor in Twilight to a seasoned performer makes him a suitable candidate for the complex character of James Bond.",
