"account": "UConn has secured a commitment from five-star guard Sydney Savoury, marking its first addition from the class of 2027. The Michigan native, standing at 5-foot-11, attends Belleville High School and was ranked No. 9 in SC Next 100 rankings. ESPN's Shane Laflin broke the news of Savoury's decision to join the Huskies.\n\nSavoury explained her choice, citing UConn's exceptional culture, coaching staff, and tradition of excellence. The prospect was drawn to the program's championship mentality, high expectations, and commitment to helping athletes achieve their full potential on and off the court.\n\nUConn now has a path to include Savoury in their 2027 class, as she will play as a freshman alongside guards Jovana Popovic and Marine Dursus. The addition of Savoury could provide depth and scoring options, especially with the team losing guards KK Arnold and Ashlynn Shade to graduation.\n\nOther notable prospects in the class, including overall top player Kaleena Smith and forward Ivanna Wilson Manyacka, remain on UConn's radar. Recently, Hungarian center Kinga Josepovits also visited the campus, signaling the Huskies' continued interest in top talent.\n\nFollowing their loss to Michigan on Friday, UConn will host Iowa at Gampel Arena on Sunday, aiming to build momentum for the upcoming season.",
