"account": "In Selkirk, a street has been honoured with the name WWII Memorial Drive in recognition of the Dufferin Gang, a group of 31 individuals from 15 homes who served in the Second World War. This group, known as the Dufferin Gang, is believed to be the largest such group from a single residential block in Canada. The unveiling ceremony, which took place on Friday, was attended by veterans, descendants of the Dufferin Gang members, and city officials. The street was named after the gang after 12 years of work by their families to preserve and recognize their history. The Dufferin Gang is remembered for their bravery and sacrifice during the war, with five of the 31 never returning home. Their legacy continues to be celebrated in Selkirk through various tributes, including a mural, a granite monument, and online exhibits.",
