The incident came to light after a complaint was filed by the National Association of Nigerian Students, South-West, accusing officers attached to the Cybercrime Unit of brutalizing students during a hostel raid. The National Association of Nigerian Students, South-West, described the officers' conduct as disturbing and inconsistent with professional policing standards.
