"account": "On Tuesday, the College Football Playoff selection committee informed Notre Dame that they would be ranked 11th in their first rankings release of the season. The Irish team is currently 7-1, but has no wins over a ranked team this season, as their lone loss came in a controversial game against BYU, the only ranked opponent they faced. Notre Dame faces Miami Hurricanes in a crucial matchup on Saturday. According to former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday, Notre Dame will likely be left out of the playoff if they cannot secure a victory against Miami. Saban emphasized that playing the No. 1 team at home is a must-win situation, as the committee placed them at 11th, implying that without a win, they may be excluded from the playoff, even if they were to improve their record later in the season. Notre Dame's remaining games this season include matches against unranked Boston College, SMU, and Syracuse. SMU was recently removed from the rankings following a loss to Syracuse in Week 9. A win against Miami could potentially prop Notre Dame up in the rankings before their final game against Boston College.",
