"account": "A surprise visit from skateboarding icon Tony Hawk occurred at Charlotte's Renaissance Park on Friday. Hawk, known for his groundbreaking tricks and signature video game series, posted a video on Instagram showing himself performing at the park. He signed one of his custom skateboards and left it at the site for the first person to claim it. However, due to morning storms, the board was later found submerged in water near a quarter-pipe. Hawk has a habit of making unexpected appearances at skate parks across the nation, leaving behind a free board for locals. These surprise visits often leave the ramps largely to his use. The professional skateboarder, who began his career in his teens, was the first to complete a 900 in competition. Charlotte currently has two official skate parks in Mecklenburg County, with Renaissance Park being one of them. Plans are underway to construct more skate parks in the county, with one expected to commence in 2027.",
