"account": "When the Atlanta Hawks made their selection at No. 23 during the 2026 NBA draft, many fans were skeptical. Critics labeled the second overall pick a mistake, but rookie forward Zuby Ejiofor quickly silenced the doubters. Playing off the bench for 17 minutes on Wednesday night, Ejiofor posted a plus-18 plus-minus ranking second on the team behind only Dyson Daniels. Drafted by head coach Quin Snyder and assistant head coach Onsi Saleh, Ejiofor's selection aligns with the team's focus on toughness and defense. In the 120-105 win against Washington, Ejiofor's energy and focus shone through as he registered 11 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Despite his sole foul, an offensive charge in the first quarter, Ejiofor maintained his high level of play. Head coach Snyder praised the rookie for his competitiveness and physicality, noting that players like Ejiofor are rare and highly valued in today's league. With key players Jock Landale and Henri Vesaar sidelined due to injury, Ejiofor's emergence is particularly timely for the Hawks. His strong performance against a formidable opponent like the Washington Wizards emphasizes the importance of his role in helping the team build its identity.",
