"account": "In 2022, Pakistan experienced devastating floods, claiming over 1,700 lives and affecting more than 33 million people. The country advocated for the establishment of a Loss and Damage Fund at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh. Her nation, one of the most vulnerable to climate change, has yet to receive any funds from the Loss and Damage Fund. Kharal spoke to Dialogue Earth about the challenges Pakistan has faced in accessing climate finance, its plans for obtaining funding at COP31, and the pressing climate issues the country is currently facing.",
